ABOUT THE ARTIST

Remi Ajibola is a young emerging British-Nigerian poet and performer who grew up in Milton Keynes. In 2024, they took part in Rise with Artswork and an Arts and Heritage Alliance MK apprenticeship with Milton Keynes Theatre to gain experience working in the arts and cultural sector. They continue to carve out a space for themselves locally and further afield – making appearances at poetry events across Milton Keynes and at Thread Nights in London. Remi is the founder of Say It Louder MK – a community event launched on National Poetry Day 2025 – attended by members of the local poetry community.
