Design Opportunity: Building a visual language for artist-led work

Offset Projects is looking for a designer to help us begin to develop a distinctive visual language for how artist-led work is presented and sold through Offset. At the heart of this work is our commitment to creating opportunities for young artists to have their work seen, valued and purchased, while exploring ethical and sustainable ways to support artists and reinvest income into our wider work with young people.
As a not-for-profit organisation, any trading activity we develop is rooted in our social purpose and our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young creatives.
We’re not looking for a rebrand or a comprehensive brand toolkit. Instead, we want to explore how Offset’s existing identity can become more flexible and responsive to the artists we work with, while remaining recognisably Offset.
This is a focused commission with a budget of £4,000. We are therefore not looking for a full brand identity, product catalogue or extensive set of templates. We are looking for a designer to establish the creative foundations of a visual language and demonstrate its potential through a small number of carefully considered applications. The work should be distinctive and creatively ambitious, while remaining realistic in scope.
Young creatives aged 16–25 will contribute meaningfully to the development of the work, working with the designer to test ideas, share references and challenge decisions.
We’re interested in designers who are curious, collaborative and excited by the relationship between contemporary art, design, youth culture, storytelling and commercial activity.
We welcome applications from independent designers, small studios and emerging practitioners with relevant experience.

We are seeking a Treasurer to provide financial oversight and strategic guidance as we transition to charitable status and plan for sustainable growth. The Treasurer will work closely with the Board and Executive Directors to ensure strong financial management, compliance, and long-term financial stability.
Our Board is a diverse mix of individuals with different backgrounds, voices, knowledge, and perspectives. We welcome interest regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. We also welcome interest from anyone who feels that their community is underrepresented in creative or ‘mainstream’ spaces.

You’ll become more comfortable with public speaking, debate and discussion techniques.
You don’t need previous experience of being on a Board, or any particular qualifications. Your experience of being under 25 will play a crucial role in helping make strategic decisions that benefit other under 25s. Being on a Board can be a rewarding opportunity and can make a real difference to yourself and others.
